To Create a Factory Order
From the OPTO ribbon, select the ORDERS tab and click on the ‘New Factory Order’ icon.
In the ‘Factory Order – <New Entry>’ window enter the client code or press <F2> and select the client from the pop-up list, then click OK. Press <TAB> to generate the Client Name and Contact Name fields, the Type field is generated by a parameter setting. Continue to press <TAB> to move through the fields and enter information where necessary. Click in the Part Code column, enter the part code or enter a prefix of the part code and press <TAB> or <Enter> to generate a list of similar part code. You can also use <F2> to lookup a part code. Click on the required part/s and click OK.
When all required parts have been added to the order press <F9> to save, depending on parameter settings the Process Sheet (Factory Order) window opens. If not, select the icon from the ORDERS ribbon.
In the ‘Process Sheet (Factory)’ window, click on the Create Job Ticket icon, a message appears to alert the user of the number of job tickets that have now been created.
Now the order and its job tickets can be Activated. This then creates the Process Control records to enable clocking onto the job tickets.
