To be able to cancel a Sales/Factory order, there must not be any despatches against the order. For the Factory, check that it hasn’t been started where items have been picked, purchased or issued to the job tickets and there is not time clocked to the processes. The option to cancel sales/factory orders is password protected so the user will need the correct permissions and an internal employee password.
From the OPTO ribbon, select the ORDERS tab and click on the ‘Cancel Sales Order’ or the ‘Cancel Factory Order’ icons.
To Cancel a Sales Order –
Enter the internal employee password in the red password field and press <TAB> to generate the window. Type in the order number – or press <F2>, and select the order number from the pop-up list and click on OK. A message will appear telling the user that they must zero the order quantities before cancelling the Sales Order, click OK and zero the order quantities and save.
Re-enter the internal employee password in the red password field and press <TAB> to generate the window. Type in
the order number or press <F2>, and select the order number from the pop-up list and click on OK. Click on the Send button (circled below) and the Sales Order is cancelled and sent to history.
A message appears to confirm the cancel of the sales order, click on Yes.
Then another message to confirm the order has successfully been cancelled and any allocations have been cleared, click on the Yes icon. Click on the Finish icon to close the Cancel Sales Order window.
To Cancel a Factory Order
Select the Cancel Factory Order icon on the OPTO Ribbon and enter the internal employee password in the red password field and press <TAB> to generate the window. Type in the order number or press <F2>, and select the order number from the pop-up list and click on OK. Click on the Send button (circled below) and the Factory Order and any associated records (job ticket, etc) are cancelled and sent to history.
A message appears to confirm the cancel of the factory order, click on Yes.
The process then runs through and the Finish icon becomes active when the process is completed, click on the Finish icon to close the window.
